Roosters is situated in a pretty rural lane in a peaceful location in the beautiful village of Upwey, where the River Wey rises from one of the largest cold water springs in the British Isles, only 3.5miles to Weymouth and 3.5miles to Dorchester.
Whether you are visiting the area for a holiday, a family gathering, or on business, Roosters tranquil yet central location makes it an ideal base.
Weymouth and Portland offers the full range of watersports, including sailing, diving, windsurfing, paddle boarding and fishing, and was the venue for the 2012 Olympic Sailing events. It is also the home of the National Sailing Academy.
We are ideally located for wonderful walks along the stunning Jurassic coastline and the RSPB nature reserves in nearby Weymouth, with it's charming Harbour and blue flag Beach.
The County town of Dorchester is close by with it's links to Thomas Hardy, this delightful market town is set in the heart of Hardy's beloved Wessex.
There is a Bus and Train service from Upwey, and local pubs, shops, Wishing Well Tea Rooms and riverside walks are all within easy reach.
